DHANK: The Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority on Wednesday activated the ambulance service at the Civil Defence and Ambulance Centre in the Wilayat of Dhank, Al Dhahirah Governorate, as part of its efforts to expand the scope of its ambulance services and enhance the emergency response system across the wilayats of the Sultanate of Oman.

The inauguration ceremony was held under the auspices of Shaikh Musallam bin Ahmed al Maashani, Wali of Dhank.

The activation of the service comes within the Authority's plans to develop its operational system, raise the level of field readiness and enhance the speed of response to ambulance reports, thereby contributing to the provision of emergency medical care for citizens and residents and bringing ambulance services closer to population centres in the wilayat.

The activation of the ambulance service at the Civil Defence and Ambulance Centre in Dank is an addition to the ambulance services system in Al Dhahirah Governorate and reflects the Authority's commitment to enhancing response efficiency and developing its specialised services in line with community needs.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by a number of officials and representatives of military, security and government entities.
